When I decided to get my real estate license, I had 33 years of experience buying and selling my own homes around the Southeast and I had some strong feelings about what kind of agent I wanted to be. My experience with agents who didn’t listen, return calls or take care of business in a timely manner drove me crazy and I was determined to be different. Your business is very important to me and I promise to devote my full attention to your transaction. Additionally, to assist in finding the right price both for listings and for purchase offers, I attended the Broker Price Opinion course and attained the BPOR designation.
While I enjoy both the buying and selling side of the real estate business, I especially enjoy working with first time home buyers and appreciate the special challenges experienced in making the first home purchase. Making sure new buyers understand each step involved in that first purchase is crucial to getting to closing and achieving their dream.
As an active real estate investor myself, I have training, tools and experience to support investors in the purchase and sale of investment property. I understand that the real estate investing process is different than retail real estate and I’m prepared to work with both the professional investor as well as individuals looking to diversify into rental property as a vehicle for financial planning.
Prior to joining EXIT Realty Professionals, I spent 3 decades in the IT industry. I view my prior career as an excellent foundation for crafting today’s real estate marketing campaigns. I will use every technical tool and technique at my disposal to market your home including the web and social media.
I make it a priority to keep up to date in my profession by attending frequent training courses and seminars. As distressed property is a large part of today’s real estate market, I earned the Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist, SFR, designation. A buyer or seller of distressed property can feel comfortable in hiring me for the sale or purchase of their home. To assist sellers if making the best impression, I attained the Real Estate Staging, ASP, designation. Studies show properly priced, staged homes sell faster than homes that aren’t staged.
I've lived in the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach for more than 20 years where my son and daughter attended school and enjoyed the varied activities the area offers. They are now grown with children of their own and I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren.
